WELCOME TO THE THUNDER WOLF WEBSITE!
This website supports the activities of the Thunder Wolf District of the Sam Houston Area Council, Boy Scouts of America.
The district comprises the southern half of the Fort Bend Independent School District and the Stafford Municipal School District. There are over 1800 registered Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venturers in over 50 units in the district, as well as over 1000 registered adult leaders. The district was formed in late 2009 when the former Tomahawk District was divided into two parts. The new Northstar district comprises the northern half of FBISD.
As the website grows, additional features will be added. Initially there will be a district calendar, downloads, and forums available for use. In order to have access to the full features of the site, users must register and be validated by the webmaster.

Philmont Training Center
Hello All, we are putting together a Thunder Wolf group to attend Philmont Training Center the week of June 23-29 (Week 3). Here is the link for information and registration instructions. All District Committee Members and Commissioners are invited to attend.
http://www.philmontscoutranch.org/PTC.aspx
If you haven't been before I would encourage you to consider attending. I went last year for my first time and had a great time. I got to meet Scouters from all over the country and learned many new things to bring back to help Scouting in our community. There are weeklong programs for your spouse and kids. Below are the conferences available Week 3 and costs.
Hope you will consider attending. Please let George Etier or I know if you plan on attending. We will work on transportation as a group.
Cub Scout Day Camp Date Change
Please note, the Cub Scout Day Camp date has been changed by the Council. The Tri-District Day Camp will be 6/11-14.

On-Line Camping Guide
We are announcing the availability of the On-Line Camping Guide.
This guide not only will show you details about camping areas in the area (broken out separately for Boy Scout and Cub Scouts), but it allow one to post reviews and ratings about each camping location.
Anyone can add an entry (subject to moderation) as well as a review. There is also a cool map feature so you can see camping areas on a map.
This is a work-in-progress and only by each unit "logging" their camping experience will this guide truly sparkle.
You can reach the camping guide at http://thunderwolfdistrict.com/where-to-camp
